Mackenzie! "The Worker"

Many of you know that we are having to rip
out 2 out of 3 bathrooms, all of our hardwoods
down to the ground, sub floor and all!

Well, I decided I wanted in on the
demolishing! I mean who wouldn't like
knocking holes in the wall with a hammer!
I was calling myself, "Mackenzie, the Worker"!

Hard at work!
Okay, daddy and I only did some of the
demolishing! We have a contractor doing
the work! We thought we would just help out some
after he went home for the day!
Not something I would want to do for a living!

Kaitlann's Birthday

We celebrated my birthday once again
with cake and ice cream!
I guess it is finally over until next year!

Leave MY candles alone!!

Yep, I had to blow the candles out over and over again!
Oh, and if they didn't sing to me over and over again
I would start singing Happy Birthday myself!

What? Are you not suppose to eat candles?

My big sister is the greatest!

My Baby Turns 2

Sunday, February 26, 2006, at 4.14 pm
Kaitlann Noel Jones
was born. Weighing 6.5 pounds and 19.5 inches.

She gave us a little scare. Breathing too fast!
So we stayed in the nursery for 7 days taking antibiotics!
Which now we just know that she is a drama queen!

My precious baby girl is now 2 years old, potty trained
(and has been for a while), sleeping in a big girl bed,
doing whatever big sister is doing, and can do
everything by herself!
A little mischievous, scared of everything, funny as funny can be,
very loving and affectionate!
I pray that one day that she will be used mightily
of God! And that she loves Jesus with all of her heart!
(And that she feels led to go wherever Mackenzie goes!)
Her daddy and I have to go wherever they go!

Artist

My big sister loves to paint.
She usually tries to paint when I am
taking a nap! I am really not sure why?
I know it's not because mama thinks I will make
a huge mess and doesn't want to clean
up after me and Mackenzie!

But I woke up before mama got things cleaned up!
Hahaha!
I loved painting and did a very good job!
I didn't make any more of a mess than Mackenzie
usually does! So I think I will be able to do it again!

I worked really really hard!
I think I am an Artist!

6 random thoughts/habits/quirks, about me!

1. I am a bit OCD when it comes to my shopping cart!
No, not so much with the germs but with the organization
of the items in my cart! Everything has a certain place.
With kids this makes things much worse but I manage
to rearrange things to their right places a dozen times or more.
Cold stuff like butter, sour cream, cheese to its spot!
Boxes to their spot. Cans to their spot! And when they get
moved around it drives me crazy!

2. I hate when the soap falls in the shower and leaves a
dent! I smooth down the soap until it is dent free!
I know I am a bit weird!

3. I hate clutter! I have been known to throw things away
that later we need just because it was in the way at the time!
Since being married (7 1/2) years. Jason and I have met in the
middle with this. Okay, maybe not right in the middle!
He actually can't stand clutter either anymore after a while!

4. Toys are for playrooms and kids bedrooms!
It drives me crazy to have toys all over my house!
So no toys in our living room!
I don't mind it at others houses!
Goes back to clutter!

5. One of my favorite things to do is "clean"!
Yep, I love to clean!
I don't do it as much with a 4 and 2 year old!

6. I love to decorate for parties!
Birthday parties, baby showers, Christmas parties!
You name the party and I love to decorate it!

There you have it! I am sure I could list many
more quirks, random thoughts, and habits of mine!
But I think I will stop there so you won't think I am
totally weird!

BirThDAy PaRTy

On Saturday we had a wonderful
Birthday Party!
Mama decorated everything so pretty
and our cake was beautiful!

We love each other so much.

We picked out our cake from Pottery Barn!
Nana had some one make it!
We thought it was very pretty and
it was good too!

Can I eat yet?
I decided on all the snacks that we should have!

Yep, we had a moon bounce!
We jumped and jumped!
Daddy and Pop had a great time jumping too!

I couldn't get up before someone jumped and
I fell down again!

We found these really cool foam crowns and tiaras
for our party hats!
We decided to let everyone decorate their own!

Mallory did a very good job decorating her party hat!

Lori did a good job too!
No, that is John's hat!

I am the King!
Cute!!

Okay, now that we have finished our hats
I think it is finally time to eat!

I liked all the attention!
Happy Birthday to us!!!

We each had a layer of cake with our
initials and our candles on it!

But we both just blew out what ever candle we wanted!

YYYUUUUMMMM!
That icing sure was good!

She did have cake and ice cream but
didn't get a swing at the pinata!

PIE in the FACE

Last Wednesday (Jan. 30) was my 4th birthday!
Mama and daddy took me to the restaurant of
my choice! So of course I wanted to go to La Cabana!
My all time favorite restaurant!

Mama and daddy asked them to sing Happy Birthday to me!
Which I was fine with!
Daddy had been joking with me that they may
smash a pie in my face!
I didn't want any part of that!

But before we went he assured me that he
wouldn't let them put a pie in my face!
He Lied!!!
Mama and daddy would have never guessed
that they would have done it to a 4 year
old without asking permission before hand!
Needless to say, I didn't like it at all!
It scared me, made me dirty and made my nose feel gross!
Daddy was quick to clean me up! Even before mama
got a good picture of it!
I am over it! I don't think I have any
post-traumatic pie in the face syndrome!

After church my friend Mallory came over
to share my little bitty birthday cake with me!
No one smashed it into my face!

My wish was to never ever get a pie in the face again!
Kaitlann and I get to have a big birthday bash the weekend!
