Kait the Great

Weekend Project

A while back I had this crazy idea!
Painting our Cabinets!

Our Cabinets Before!
They were some of the ugliest
cabinets that I had ever seen!
They stayed dirty looking and the
paint was chipping off!

Just getting started Thursday afternoon!
I began by taking off the hardware and doors
while Jason was at work!

Not only did I want to paint the
cabinets, I also wanted to add some
trim so they wouldn't be so plain!

Jason hard at work!

Finally getting the paint on Friday!
We had to sand and prime everything!

Us hard at work!

Yes, we did this with 2 kids running around!

I'm painting the cabinets red,
I'm painting the cabinets red!

Cool accent color shot!

Our mess!
Needless to say our house
stayed in a mess all weekend!

Oh, we also had our little furry kids
around too! Oopps!

The red is now done!
About to work on the glaze!

Finally Sunday afternoon the
doors go back up!

Almost finished!
We just like the knobs!
Had to run and buy new screws because
now that we added the trim our old ones
were too short!

We love our newly painted cabinets!
We love it even more that we are finished!
We are proud of ourselves for tackling such
a big project and it looking really good!
*******************************
Thank you Jason for all of your hard work!
You are truly the best!
And becoming such a great handy man!

Peru Skirts

When daddy was in Peru he emailed
us pictures. One day we saw these
beautiful skirts on some little girls!

So we asked daddy to bring us
one home!

They are great!

Thanks daddy for bringing us
our skirts from Peru!
We love you!

Deut 6:5-9

You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.
"And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.
