Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree

Looking for the Jones Family Christmas Tree!

This has been a family tradition for 11 years now.
11 years later we have 3 kids to help us look for the
"not" so perfect tree.

Knox loved carrying the huge pole around!

The 2 girls couldn't agree on a tree
and one of them is not happy about it!

 Looking, Looking and Looking!

 Father like Son!
I love this picture.

 This is it!
The Jones Family Christmas Tree

The girls kept saying they could carry
the tree to the truck by themselves!

They had to have a little help!

Us girls decorated the tree while Knox took a much needed nap

Mackenzie asleep under the Christmas tree!

Our family wants to wish each of you
a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!
We are so blessed that God chose to send
His Son to be born in a Manger, to Die
for our sins.  May we not forget the real reason for the season.
It's not about the Christmas trees, the presents, the food, the elves
on the shelves, or santa.  It is about a God who loved us so much
that He gave us His son!

Thanksgiving 2011

We are so thankful for our wonderful family.
We have been blessed with 3 great children.
It is a honor and a privilege to be their parents.

We hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

Cake

A few weeks ago I made a 4 tier wedding
cake for a girl at the church.
This was by far the largest cake I had ever made
You will have to pardon what I look
like. I didn't wear makeup for days and wore
a hat.
 Fondant

Icing and Powered Sugar was every where!

The girls did some fondant work.

2 tiers down, 2 to go

 Making fondant roses by hand

 Going up.
This was a little nerve racking.
I had never had to put so many supports in a cake.
Thanks to Jason for the help!

 Finally decorating

 All together

 Adding the finishing touches

 Complete

3 days of hard work finally finished.
I learned a lot and enjoyed it for the most part.
With one oven, 3 kids, 2 homeschooled kids at
times it was a bit challenging!

Deut 6:5-9

You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.
"And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.
