Thanksgiving 2011

We are so thankful for our wonderful family.
We have been blessed with 3 great children.
It is a honor and a privilege to be their parents.
*************************
We hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

Cake

A few weeks ago I made a 4 tier wedding
cake for a girl at the church.
This was by far the largest cake I had ever made
You will have to pardon what I look
like. I didn't wear makeup for days and wore
a hat.
 Fondant

Icing and Powered Sugar was every where!

The girls did some fondant work.

2 tiers down, 2 to go

 Making fondant roses by hand

 Going up.
This was a little nerve racking.
I had never had to put so many supports in a cake.
Thanks to Jason for the help!

 Finally decorating

 All together

 Adding the finishing touches

 Complete

3 days of hard work finally finished.
I learned a lot and enjoyed it for the most part.
With one oven, 3 kids, 2 homeschooled kids at
times it was a bit challenging!

Tennessee-Dollywood

While in Tennessee spending family time
with Grandmama and Pop which we had not seen
since the summer we spent a day at Dollywood!

The girls posing with Grandmama in front
of the beautiful pumpkin tree!

Mackenzie and Pop on their first ride.

Kaitlann and Grandmama on their first ride,
the high flying swings!

 Grandmama being goofy!

Knox taking a break with Grandmama,
having a few goldfish.

 Kaitlann making a silly face.

Knox squeezing a juice box on Daddy's head!

 Knox absolutely loved sliding.
We have got to get him a swing set!

We had a great time at Dollywood!
And an even better time spending the weekend
with grandparents!

Deut 6:5-9

You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.
"And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.
